This mini-vacation/honeymoon was for my new husband and I. The web page (Booked.net) stated there was one (1) room available at that price! Not true. However, upon arrival there were more empty room than occupied. The web page indicates a aaa discount which they do not honor, and merely blame the misinformation on Booked.net. The first night we had to ask for towels, body soap, toilet tissue and kleenex. There was a toilet tissue holder in the bathroom which holds two (2) rolls. There was only one (1) roll with less than 1/4 of the roll on it. We had to request coffee, creamer, sugar, though the 4 cup coffee maker was provided. We changed into our swimwear to go down to the spa and was informed by the female manage "the spa is out of order and been that way for over two years." In fact the door was locked and children's bicycles were in plain sight in the locked spa room. The paint on the ceiling in the batroom was flaking and chipping, the carpeting was severly stained, the overall general appearance of the room was poor. We recieved no room service (though the "Maid Service Requested Sign") was properly placed on the outside of the door. The bed went unmade, dirty towles on the floor, no toilet tissue, etc. We had to request towels, toilet tissue and coffee yet again on night. IThe continental breaWe went to the office for the continental breakfast which consisted of pre-wrapped Swenhard's Pastries (4 in total on a tray), lukewarm coffee, no milk. I am disabled and require assistance in walking. There was no elevator to our knowledge when asked, nor any "rooms available" on the first floor. The service and cleanliness was so poor, we will never recommend the Villager to anyone. We are so disappointed I would request pay for a comp room at another location for for us to enjoy our honeymoon. It is certainly not a place we would ever recommend to anyone under any circumstances. Extremely disappointed as everything was severally over-rated.

    Good

Location is very good, in tourist town Morro Bay. Excellent (basic) restaurant directly accross the street (breakfast, lunch, dinner): "the Hungry Fisherman".

Kind of expensive fot what's offered. Rooms are in need of maintenance. Wi-fi reception in room very bad. Hot/cold wat controls in shower very flakey.

    Very good

    Location

Needs cosmetic updates. Bathroom was quite shabby, wallpaper was past it's prime, mattress had buttons popping through & water in shower difficult to control temperature.

    Exceptional

The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. It was quiet in the morning which meant the maid service wasn't dragging a very noisey cart like they do at a lot of motels The heating was in the ceiling which made it much more quite. The room was large and that was nice. I liked the large number of channels I could get on the tv. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it to my friends and family. It's hard to find a economic motel that is clean as well and this motel showed pride in ownership.

Even though having heat in the ceiling made it more quiet, it took about a half hour to feel the heat. I was cold waiting for the warmth. Knowing the price of the motel was reasonable, I figured it was worth waiting for the room to get warm.

    Superb

The room was large and well appointed. It was mostly quiet, except for a period of time when another guest was making lots of noise, but it wasn't bad enough to call the desk. I definitely would stay there again.

    Very good

The room was spacious & included a fridge, microwave, tea/coffee facilities. The table & chairs as well as a desk helped make the room comfortable, the wifi worked well but may struggle if the hotel was busy. It was an easy walk to the town centre & the embarcadero. The room was clean & the bed was comfortable.

The decor is definitely in need of an update. The 'breakfast' was nothing more than coffee & pre-packaged cake so don't expect an actual meal to start the day. I was surprised when the water from the basin tap was brown, it did eventually run clean but I think the plumbing needs to be replaced, we used bottled water while here.

    The staff was pleasant.

Dirty, and the noisiest room I've ever stayed in. Absolutely the worst experience I've had in a motel in years.
